Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. It appears to be updating, then it says Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. I go to the driver tab, click on update drivers, click on search automatically for updated driver software. I check the device manager, click on network adapter, click on 11 N adapter properties, under device status it says there are no drivers installed for thisÄevice. The software never opens to show wireless networks in range or allows me to enter the security key. Opens in the window it says, Realtek 11 N USB wireless LAN utility, Realtek Semiconductor Corp, Copyright 2003-2009. After the computer restarts I click on the desktop icon and a window Everything seems to be installing, then it says I should restart the computer. Network adapter into the USB port on as instructed in the directions. I have tried two different WLAN USB adapters, a Linksys AE1000 and a Hiro 802.11 b/g/n USB adapter, neither of which I have been able to get to work. I have a eMachine W 5243, it has always been connected to the Internet via a wired connection.
